A past relationship has turned into new business for a unit of WPP Group's MediaCom.

The unit, Beyond Borders, is now handling media planning and buying responsibilities on job site Indeed.com. The assignment is new, as the site previously advertised mostly via paid search. As such, Indeed hasn't employed a media agency before.

The site, which reaches 50 countries, just launched its first global campaign, with ads rolling out in the U.K. first and in the U.S. and other markets in the fall. The effort includes TV, outdoor, digital ads and social media marketing. Future media spending is projected at $30 million annually.

Indeed's vp of corporate marketing, Mary Ellen Dugan, knows MediaCom from her years at Dell, a MediaCom account. Dugan worked at Dell from 2010 to 2013, first as executive director of corporate brand and later as executive director of global brand and consumer advertising. She joined Austin, Texas-based Indeed in July 2013.

Beyond is running the account out of its New York office.

Indeed's other roster shops include Mullen (for its creative business) and Hotwire (for public relations).
