Media Storm Hires Digital Director

Media Storm, a Norwalk, Conn.-based independent, has appointed Jeremy Cornfeldt managing director/digital, a new position.
Cornfeldt (shown) will report to the agency’s co-founders and managing partners, Craig Woerz and Tim Williams.
The appointment comes as the agency has added close to a dozen accounts over the past year and increased its staff by 30 percent to roughly 85.
The most recent wins include the CMT cable net and For Eyes Optical, both of which spend approximately $5 million on ads each year, according to Nielsen.
Cornfeldt was previously svp, group client director at Aegis Group’s Carat in New York, where he oversaw the Proctor & Gamble pet-care business. Earlier, Cornfeldt ran Carat Fusion’s New York office, managing a team of 45 and guiding strategic development for clients like Pfizer and Wyndham Hotels.
“This appointment reflects our commitment to further expand our new media capabilities as the agency continues to grow,” Woerz said. He added that Cornfeldt “brings a very well rounded and hard to find group of skill sets to the table.” Woerz said Cornfeldt was the right fit culturally and “someone people [at the agency] can learn from.”
Woerz and Williams founded Media Storm in 2001. Last year they launched a division called Bolt that develops campaigns for advanced TV platforms.
