Martin Moves Ahead at Mullen

BOSTON Interpublic Group’s Mullen has promoted Drayton Martin to senior vice president and account director, the agency said.

“Drayton has done an outstanding job building client relationships, contributing to new business wins and motivating all around her to achieve success,” said Jim Hartrich, executive vice president, group director at the Wenham, Mass.-based shop. “She is a leader, a great colleague and fun to work with. She is truly worthy of this promotion.”

Martin, 35, had been a vice president. She currently manages the Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, Progress Energy, Eastern Bank and Ocean Development Group businesses. Martin began her career at Mullen in November 2003.

“From the moment I joined Mullen it was an incredibly exciting and stimulating place to work,” said Martin. “It’s gratifying to be recognized this way and I only hope I can add to Mullen’s success.”

Martin began her advertising career at Bozell Worldwide in New York in 1991. After that she had a stint working at Publicis Groupe’s Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco, where she worked on Saturn. After San Francisco, Martin moved to Boston and worked at IPG’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos and Holland Mark.

Martin holds an art history degree from Wellesley College.
