Suppose your boss gave you a week to go anywhere in the world and cost was no obstacle. Where would you go?
Rick Johnson & Co. president Debbie Johnson posed that question to staffers at an agency retreat last year. She then flew the person with the most interesting reponse, print buyer Michelle Jones, to Hungary to fulfill her dream of traveling with a circus.
This year executives at the Albuquerque, N.M., agency chose Richard Pokress, senior media buyer and planner for what is called the Enrichment Trip. Pokress spent the beginning of September in a 1,600-year-old Benedictine monastery outside of Paris.
“The idea behind the Enrichment Trip is that an individual cannot only enrich his life by fulfilling a dream, but also the lives of everyone at Rick Johnson by sharing the experience,”
Johnson said.
