Lyon's Awards $5 Mil. Account To GGC&Y

Lyon’s Restaurants has awarded its estimated $5 million advertising account to Gardner, Geary, Coll & Young here.
GGC&Y won the business after a two-month review of five Northern California agencies. The other contenders were: Katsin/ Loeb Advertising; Hyett Broadbent & Heimbrodt Advertising; and Zuckerman Fernandes MacDaniels Sproul, all in San Francisco; and Santa Barbara-based incumbent Evans, Hardy & Young.
GGC&Y will create an image campaign for Lyon’s that will break in the second quarter of this year, according to Matt Hofherr, the agency’s director of new business.
