NEW YORK–Brian Martin, executive vice president, director of business development at Kirshenbaum Bond & Partners, will leave the agency at the end of this month. Martin will join Ty Montague, a freelance creative director currently running his own communications consultancy, called Montague &, in Westport, Conn.

None of Kirshenbaum’s senior partners could be reached for comment.

Martin joined Kirshenbaum in October 1995. Jon Bond, co-chairman of the shop that now bills $220 million, told Adweek earlier this year that 1996 was a productive year on the new business front, with billings rising $75 million.

Before joining Kirshenbaum, Martin worked at Deutsch for three-and-a-half years as senior vice president and director of business development.

While at Deutsch, the agency pitched and won such accounts as PromoFlor, Mattel and Kohler.
