ATLANTA The Johnson Group has launched a new campaign for its client, Alaska Digitel, the shop said.

The work from the independent Chattanooga, Tenn., shop includes television spots and alternative media promoting the Anchorage, Alaska-based cell phone service provider’s local and long-distance plans.

The TV spots feature actual Internet footage of daredevils making failed jumps on bicycles, motorcycles and snow skis.

“There’s a lot of sameness in wireless advertising, so we searched for a more attention-getting way to express what it’s like to run out of airtime, said Mike Polcari, partner and creative director at The Johnson Group.
