Jobs.com Has Vacancy

Jobs.com, an online recruiting site, is looking for a shop to handle its $10 million ad account.
The business is currently handled by Rizzuti.com, a small Carrollton, Texas-based shop. Its principal, John Rizzuti, declined to comment, citing a confidentiality agreement.
The Irving, Texas-based Jobs.com’s director of marketing, Caryn Kboudi, is managing the review. She also declined to comment.
However, a source said the review is national and that the client has narrowed down contenders to several finalists. The decision date is Oct. 25.
Jobs.com, formerly Resumail Network, launched in 1992 with arguably the most desirable recruitment URL on the Web. Jobs.com currently has local career hubs in 19 cities and 77 other metro centers, with plans for more expansion. Jobs.com also designs a free software system for writing, distributing and receiving rƒsumƒs on the Internet.
Visitors in August 1999 totaled 430,000 for Jobs.com, lagging Monster.com’s 2.45 million visitors and HotJobs’ 882,000 visitors, per Media Matrix.
Earlier this year, CBS acquired a 38 percent equity stake in the site. CBS paid with $62 million in free advertising across its media properties for five years.
Rizzuti.com has created print, radio, outdoor, direct response and banner ads for Jobs.com, and devised the current tagline: “The best jobs. The best way to apply.” Rizzuti.com had been planning to create Jobs.com’s first TV spots and extend a billboard campaign nationwide.
