Lycos Guide Is Synged
Gen Y lifestyle e-‘zine Synge.com and Web portal Lycos, Waltham, Mass., today will unveil a co-branded content area at synge.lycos.com. The Costa Mesa, Calif.-based Synge will provide its edgy and irreverent content to Lycos’ Career Web Guide with feature articles and news aimed at users age 18 to 30.
Sales Force Takes Off
24/7 Media, New York, this week will launch a nationwide ad sales force focused exclusively on the convergence of television and the Internet. The launch is part of the company’s three-year partnership with NBC Interactive Neighborhood to offer local market multimedia advertising. Bruce Mello, former vice president of business development, has been promoted to senior vice president of local marketing sales to lead the effort.
New Site Moves Users
Boston-based relocation portal MoveCentral.com tomorrow will launch its redesigned site, featuring beefed up editorial content and additional affiliate partners, including ValuPak and Chase Manhattan Bank. In addition to the site’s suite of e-tools that help facilitate residential moves, MoveCentral.com will offer customizable, co-branded microsite functionality to its clients.
Sites to Give Away Tix
Ad rep firm Latitude90, Los Angeles, and Tickets.com, Newport Beach, Calif., will create sponsorships combining Tickets.com promotions with content and targeted banner advertising. The campaign launches this summer and will include a year-long sporting events sweepstakes on fantasy sports site Small World and a six-month concert giveaway on satirical online publication The Onion
