Heide Gardner, vp of diversity and strategic programs at the American Advertising Federation, will become director of diversity initiatives at IPG, the holding company confirmed last week. Gardner, who starts on Nov. 10, will report to chief human resources officer Brian Brooks and associate general counsel Marge Hoey. She will act as CEO David Bell’s point person on issues such as minority-executive recruitment. Replacing her at the AAF is Howard University professor Constance Frazier.
