HP's 'Pays You Back' Pitch Goes Global

Hewlett-Packard is rolling out a global campaign to convince small- and medium-sized businesses to purchase its LaserJet printers.

The campaign—which carries the tagline, “Pays you back”—launched in the U.S., and in the coming weeks, will extend to 11 countries, including Canada, Brazil, China, India and Germany. Ad support consists primarily of digital and print media. As part of the effort, HP in May launched a microsite that allows consumers to calculate their “paybacks.”

At $1,599, an HP LaserJet M3035 MFP printer, which lets users “print and copy at speeds up to 35 ppm [pages per minute],” will “pay you back” in 40 months, HP claims.
