Sizzler Hires Hernandez to Lead MarketingLOS ANGELES—Casual steakhouse chain Sizzler hired Susan Henderson-Hernandez as svp of marketing, a new position. She was most recently vp of marketing for International House of Pancakes. Prior to that, she led marketing for Perkins Restaurants and Denny's. Sizzler, based in Sherman Oaks, Calif., hired Kovell/Fuller in May to handle its estimated $10 million account. The Culver City, Calif., shop has been charged with contemporizing Sizzler's image and touting new menu items. Wieden Art Director Fackrell Joins 180LOS ANGELES—Wieden + Kennedy art director Andy Fackrell, whose "Tag" spot won the Grand Prix at Cannes this year, has left the shop to become associate creative director at Amsterdam agency 180. He starts in January and will work on all accounts, including Adidas, Dunlop tires, Dr Pepper Europe and Braun shavers. Intuit Taps Suissa Miller LOS ANGELES—Intuit, the marketer of Turbo Tax and other financial software products, has hired Suissa Miller for a campaign that is expected to break early next year and run at least until the April 15 deadline for filing tax returns, sources said. The 19-year-old Mountain View, Calif., client has not used consumer ads in the past and will focus on Turbo Tax, sources said. Spending could not be determined. Fallon Makes Creative AppointmentsCHICAGO—Fallon has added art director Christopher Toland to its Santa Monica, Calif., office. He was previously an associate creative director at Leagas Delaney. Toland's hire brings the creative staff in Santa Monica to three. Bobby Pearce is returning to Fallon Minneapolis as group creative director and copywriter after two years at Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco. Hamon Gains Additional B/S/H BusinessLOS ANGELES—B/S/H Home Appliances has consolidated its three ad accounts at Hamon & Associates. The Huntington Beach, Calif., agency, which has worked on B/S/H's Thermador brand for four years, will now also work on Bosch, which was previously at J. Walter Thompson in Detroit, and Gaggenau, which the Santa Monica, Calif., client had handled in-house. The client spends roughly $15 million annually on ads, primarily on Bosch ($11 million) and Thermador ($4 million), per CMR. Nike Hires Duffy & ShanleyBOSTON—Nike has hired Duffy & Shanley to provide promotional and PR support for its golf division in an effort to establish the 2-year-old brand. Billings will initially be in the six-figure range, according to Jon Duffy, president of D&S in Providence, R.I. The Beaverton, Ore.-based client tapped D&S for the new assignment following a review of undisclosed shops. Nike's advertising continues to be handled by Wieden + Kennedy, Portland, Ore. For the RecordA news story Nov. 4 incorrectly stated that Chiat/Day worked on Isuzu before Goodby, Silverstein & Partners. The agency that did so was Della Femina McNamee.
