BOSTON-Interpublic Group of Cos. and Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos are in “serious negotiations,” but as of last week a buyout of the Boston shop by the New York-based holding company was still not imminent, according to sources close to Interpublic. Hill, Holliday chairman Jack Connors last week continued to deny that the agency he has owned and operated for 30 years is for sale [Adweek, Feb. 2].
