SAN selected Shugart Matson Young/Clear Ink to handled its estimated $15-20 million integrated marketing account, after a search. The Bay Area shop, with offices in San Ramon and Walnut Creek, Calif., bested the Martha Felt Group in Salt Lake City and a handful of agencies from San Francisco. The year-old San Francisco client boosted its annual budget from $10 million over the course of the pitch. The client also hired agency veteran Tom Henry to oversee the account. Earlier in his career, Henry held senior posts at Citron Haligman Bedecarre and Winkler Advertising, both in San Francisco, and Dailey & Associates, West Hollywood, Calif.
