Pfizer Puts $70 Mil. Lipitor Account in Play

NEW YORK—Pfizer has begun a review for creative duties on its Lipitor prescription drug account, worth about $70 million, sources said. Bates Worldwide in New York handles creative for Lipitor, a cholesterol inhibitor, which spent about $55 million last year. Bates, which will not defend, recently won the account of King Pharmaceuticals prescription drug Altace, which will be jointly marketed by Wyeth-Ayerst Laboratories (AHP’s pharmaceutical division) and King.
