Match Draws a Pair of Georgia Accounts
ATLANTA–Match here last week was awarded the account of St. Joseph’s Hospital and a portion of Georgia-Pacific. In the former client’s review, Match defeated two other local shops, The Morrison Agency and Sawyer Riley Compton, for the $1 million-plus account. The agency was assigned G-P’s consumer printer paper business. Billings were undisclosed.
Henderson Builds Relationship With Ryland
ATLANTA–Henderson Advertising in Greenville, S.C., will be named winner of Ryland South Homes’ Southeast account, reportedly budgeted at around $2 million annually, sources said. Those close to the process said regional executives have chosen Henderson; all that remains is management’s approval at The Ryland Group’s Columbia, Md., headquarters. Other contenders were Erwin-Penland, Greenville; Lipphardt Group, Tampa, Fla.; and Corder & Phillips, Charlotte, N.C. Houston incumbent Goswick Advertising did not defend, but will remain agency of record for the rest of the South. Neither Ryland nor Henderson officials were available for comment.
Regus Business Centers on DiMassimo
NEW YORK–DiMassimo in New York was the winner of the review for Regus Business Center Corp.’s $5 million advertising account. Also participating, the client said, were: Trahan, Burden & Charles, Baltimore; Korey Kay & Partners, Dweck & Campbell, CMG Communications and Yesawich, Moss & Brown, all in New York; Berenson, Isham & Partners, Boston; Adamson Advertising, St. Louis; and Valentine Radford Advertising, Kansas City, Mo.
Tobacco Restrictions Rescinded in New York
NEW YORK–A law restricting outdoor and in-store tobacco advertising here was struck down by U.S. District Court Judge Deborah Batts in the Southern District of New York. The Association of National Advertisers and five other industry groups filed a January lawsuit challenging the ban, an initiative of New York Mayor Rudolph Giuliani. Judge Batts ruled Dec. 15 that the law was preempted by the Federal Cigarette Labeling and Advertising Act.

Cadmus Direct in Charlotte, N.C. has been chosen direct agency for Choice Hotels International’s Guest Privileges program. . . Gordon Bailey & Associates in Atlanta was assigned the advertising for Hoffman Enclosures.
