Hill, Holliday Enlists Whipple

BOSTON Interpublic Group’s Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulos today said it has hired Brian Whipple as evp and director of relationship marketing.

He will be based at the agency’s headquarters office here and succeed Kelly Mahoney, who departed last August to become president of Newport Creative Communications in Duxbury, Mass.

Whipple, 39, joins Hill, Holliday from Computer Sciences Corp. in Waltham, Mass., where he served as managing director and partner. While at CSC, he oversaw the company’s consulting services. Prior to CSC, Whipple served as svp and managing director at marketing shop Rapp Collins in Chicago. He has also worked at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture).

“Hill, Holliday is redefining advertising by creating communications solutions which address real business problems,” said Whipple in a statement. “Our group is poised for strong growth and expansion through innovations in relationship marketing.”

Key agency clients include Cognos, CVS, Dunkin’ Donuts, Marshalls and Tyco.
