AMC, a 24-hour cable movie network based in Jericho, N.Y., has named Tom Halleen vice president of programming and scheduling. Before joining AMC, Halleen was senior vice president of programming and development at ABC Family since 1990. He was most recently responsible for all prime-time programming, including original movies, series and acquisitions. At his new post, Halleen will report to Rob Sorcher, senior vice president of programming and production.
