SAN FRANCISCO Goodby, Silverstein & Partners has won the $5-10 million account of the Diamond of California walnut growers’ cooperative, beating TBWA\Chiat\Day and J. Walter Thompson, the client confirmed.

The three San Francisco shops made final presentations last week. The winning Omnicom agency could not immediately be reached. The account includes both creative and media duties.

Diamond of California represents about 1,900 walnut growers.

Incumbent Gardner, Geary, Coll of San Francisco did not defend. The review, which began in May, was managed by New York consultancy Roth Associates, which did not return calls.
