Fox Sports 1 Expands Its Relationship With Pereira & O’Dell

Shop parlays project work into lead agency status

Pereira & O'Dell has parlayed project work for Fox Sports 1 into top status.

The new sports network today appointed the shop as its lead creative agency. The account will be run out of Pereira & O'Dell's New York office.

Robert Gottlieb, evp and head of marketing for Fox Sports, described the shop as a "great partner who can operate as a creative think tank as we enter the market with Fox Sports 1."

The new net launches this weekend as a viable challenger to ESPN's sports empire. In advance of Saturday's debut, Fox's NFL Sunday mascot Cleatus has embarked on a barnstorming tour of the U.S.

Beyond advertising for the network—including a campaign around Super Bowl XLVIII—Pereira & O'Dell will create ads for shows such as Fox Sports Live, Crowd Goes Wild, Fox Football Daily and The Ultimate Fighter.

Other brands that the New York shop works on include Reebok, Corona, New Era and Pereira & O'Dell first started handling projects for Fox Sports 1 back in the spring.
