Former Warner Exec Joins Moroch

DALLAS Former Warner Bros. and McDonald’s marketing executive Brad Ball has joined Moroch Partners as a senior partner, the agency said. The fast-food chain is one of Moroch’s signature clients.

Among Ball’s responsibilities will be establishing an agency presence in Los Angeles. He will play a leading role in developing digital services, branded entertainment and emerging platform areas, the Dallas-based shop said.

Ball also will serve on the agency’s board of directors and hold a “significant” equity position, though Moroch did not elaborate on his stake in the company.

Ball was previously evp, domestic corporate marketing at Warner, having joined the company in 1998. At Warner, Ball led marketing for 90 films including You’ve Got Mail, The Matrix and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. Before that, he was svp, marketing at McDonald’s for three years. He has also run his own company, Ball Entertainment Group, a branded entertainment agency in Los Angeles.

He launched his career at Los Angeles-based Davis, Johnson, Mogul and Colombatto, where he began in account service, working his way up to partner. The shop was ultimately renamed Davis Ball & Colombatto.

After more than a decade at the shop, working with Western U.S. McDonald’s groups, Ball joined the client’s operations.

“Given his past experience, he’ll make us a stronger contributor to our McDonald’s and entertainment clients,” said Tom Moroch, founder and chairman of the independent agency.

With billings of nearly $200 million, 25-year-old Moroch has 27 offices in the U.S. and Canada. In addition to McDonald’s, top agency clients include Disney, Midas, New Line Cinema, Twentieth Century Fox and Verizon Wireless.
