A drive to expose and stop vicious dog fights will be promoted by Young & Rubicam on behalf of the Anti-Cruelty Society.

“We’re hoping Y&R can bring public awareness to this evil that is occurring in many of our neighborhoods,” said Gene Mueller, president of the nonprofit organization.

Y&R’s pro bono task goes beyond saving dogs. While dog fights are deemed cruel to the animals involved, they also are thought to adversely affect the children who watch them, according to Mueller.

Y&R’s creative team of Corey Ciszek and Dan Fietsam are working on TV spots to highlight the battle against dog fights.
