Ads Promoting Online Brokerage Contrast Styles of Famous Pairs
BOSTON–Fidelity Investments is banking on “celebrity pairings” to help raise awareness of its new Powerstreet online trading service.
First up: comic magicians Penn and Teller, who star in a 30-second TV commercial that broke last week. In the spot, Penn discusses their different strategies for investing as Teller dangles from ropes overhead and uses his nose to click a computer mouse and access Powerstreet.
The spot is the first in a series of five celebrity pairings for Powerstreet concocted by Gotham in New York, which handles the Boston client’s retail brokerage account.
