FCS Recognizes Financial Communicators

NEW YORK Fallon garnered 11 finalist nominations for the 2003 FCS Portfolio Awards, the most of any agency, the Financial Communications Society said.

Ads by the Minneapolis-based shop for Citigroup, including “Something Without a Head” and “Impulsive Side,” were named finalists in the consumer retail print, television, multimedia and corporate image out-of-home categories.

FCS, a New York nonprofit organization established to promote professional standards in financial communications, has given out its Portfolio Awards for eight years. The awards recognize creative excellence by advertisers and agencies.

Lowe in New York received the second highest number of finalist nods, with eight for its HSBC and Mass Mutual Financial Group work. Ogilvy & Mather in New York received six nominations for its work on behalf of TIAA-CREF and Ameritrade.

The FCS will present its Portfolio Awards May 15 at the Grand Hyatt in New York.
