NEW YORK Euro RSCG Worldwide has won the estimated $100 million global review for Aventis Pharmaceuticals’ Lantus diabetes drug account, sources said.
The Havas agency competed against an initial round of five agencies: Interpublic Group’s McCann-Erickson, Omnicom Group’s TBWA Worldwide, Havas’ Euro RSCG, Grey Global Group’s Healthy Grey and WPP Group’s Young & Rubicam, said sources. Each agency partnered with sister shops that handle media buying and other specialty disciplines.
Late last month after presentations in mid-December, the list of contenders was cut to Healthy Grey, Y&R and Euro RSCG.
