Erwin-Penland has been awarded the estimated $20 million account of Advance America Cash Advance Centers.

The new business positions the Greenville, S.C., agency to top the $100 million mark in 2002 billings.

The incumbent on the account was Brann in Dallas.

“We’ve been fortunate to have clients like Verizon Wireless and Wa-chovia that have weathered the economy well,” said agency president Joe Erwin.

In January, a client decision to resume television advertising after a two-year hiatus led to Erwin-Penland being assigned Advance America’s $5 million media planning and buying account.
