Entergy Corp. has assigned its $2 million media buying account to Stone & Ward.

The Little Rock, Ark., agency will begin placing television, print and radio advertising next month in Entergy markets in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Eighteen agencies responded to the request for proposal issued by the New Orleans-based client. The company is a major distributor of gas and electricity and operates nuclear power plants as well. Creative is handled internally.

Entergy advertising manager Rick Vogler said Stone & Ward won the account because of its creative and professional approachto the buy, as well as the thoroughness of its proposal.

“They left no stone unturned and addressed our needs in a precise manner,” Vogler said.
