NEW YORK Danny Gregory, the chief creative officer at Doremus in New York since 1999, is leaving the agency.

A former group creative director at Ogilvy & Mather, Gregory joined the Omnicom Group shop when it was known primarily for creating “tombstone” print ads for financial companies. In three years, he helped change that perception through TV work for ITT Industries and ACE insurance, among others.

Nevertheless, the shop in the past two years has repositioned itself as a hybrid offering both strategic consulting and traditional advertising, and as such, is said to be looking for different kind of creative leader.
