Donovan Group Helps Ad Club, Horizons Initiative

The Advertising Club of Greater Boston has chosen Horizons Initiative’s “Helping Hands for Homeless Children” as the recipient of its 2001 public service campaign.

The Horizons Initiative, based in Boston, provides homeless children in the city with “educational play” opportunities to promote their emotional well-being and development.

Lead agency for the campaign is the Donovan Group, Northboro, Mass. The pro bono campaign, set to break in July, will include print, radio, TV and outdoor ads, as well as PR work. The Ad Club’s 2000 campaign, fashioned by Allen & Gerritsen, involved print, TV and outdoor efforts for Literacy Volunteers of Massachusetts to increase literacy among adults in the state.
