BOSTON Independent Digitas has increased its Saab cache, winning the automaker’s $2 million direct marketing business following a review, the client has confirmed.

The Boston-based shop bested three Interpublic Group agencies in the competition: Hill, Holliday, Connors, Cosmopulous in New York, Mullen in Wenham, Mass., and Draft in Chicago, sources said.

Incumbent Brann, a unit of French holding company Havas, did not participate in the review, an agency representative said.

Last year Wilton, Conn.-based Brann was absorbed into Havas’ Euro RSCG 4D network, which works on Volvo.
