LOS ANGELES Parodying a family sitcom to change the tone of its marketing, Interpublic Group’s Deutsch/LA has broken a television campaign for regional pizza chain Cici’s, said the agency’s associate creative director and art director.
Four 30-second spots, which began airing two weeks ago in the 26 states where the client operates, feature comedy bits set in Cici’s restaurants, replete with a characteristically stilted delivery and laugh track, said Michael Bryce at the Marina del Rey, Calif.,
