CP+B on White Wave’s Shortlist

LOS ANGELES White Wave Silk Soy Milk is preparing to hear presentations within the next few weeks from the four finalists vying for its advertising account, the client said.

The shops contending for the account are WPP’s Berlin Cameron/Red Cell in New York; Maxxcom’s Crispin Porter + Bogusky in Miami; Publicis Groupe’s Fallon in Minneapolis and independent Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, Ore., according to sources.

The incumbent, Havas’ Arnold in Boston, and Omnicom’s GSD&M in Austin, Texas, were eliminated from contention, sources said.

The client in Boulder, Colo., declined to confirm the finalists.

White Wave executives have told agencies they expect to spend more than $30 million next year, sources said. During the last three years, spending has been less than $10 million, according to Nielsen Monitor-Plus.

Presentations are in the process of being scheduled but will likely take place in late-November or early December. The client, which is a subsidiary of Dean Foods in Dallas, is expected to select an agency before the end of December.

Bill Hooper, chairman of Trahan, Burden & Charles in Baltimore, is aiding in the search.
