About 150 DDB Dallas staffers became homebuilders last week as participants in the agency’s second annual Habitat for Humanity volunteer project.

The shop’s managing director, Janet Bustin, said several reasons prompted the decision to devote two days to the effort.

“It’s obviously for the good of the community and we like to find opportunities to give back,” Bustin said. “It’s also good for our employees because volunteering is important to them and for the agency. We’re all about creativity and this is yet another expression of our creativity.”

Like last year, the effort is replacing the agency’s holiday party.
