BOSTON After nearly 15 years at Cronin & Co., the Connecticut Lottery has shifted its ad account to Cashman & Katz, which defeated the incumbent in a final-round shootout, the winning agency said.

Other contenders for the business were not disclosed. (The lottery operates as a quasi-public entity and it periodically holds reviews.)

Cashman and Cronin are both independent shops based in Glastonbury, Conn.

“We are extremely proud of the work we have done for the lottery,” said Cronin president Bill Cronin.
