There are few places one can go without seeing ads anymore. And if a new program by Electronic Data Systems succeeds, there will be one less.
The Plano, Texas-based computer services company last week launched a pilot program that would place full-motion video advertising on 165 ATMs in San Diego-area 7-Eleven stores.
While a customer is in the “Please Wait” stage of his or her transaction, a 15-second spot will appear promoting in-store items, entertainment or cars, among other products.
EDS said the program will run through next March.
