Capital Idea For Baltimore

Agency chiefs have long toyed with the possibilities of combining the creative efforts of the Washington, D.C., and Baltimore advertising communities into one show. Rick Hindin, president of D.C. creative shop Adworks, has taken action on that idea.
At a recent Ad Club of Metro Washington event, Hindin extended an invitation to the Baltimore advertising community to participate in this year’s Washington Addys competition. He believes the D.C. show will be more competitive with work from Baltimore shops included.
“The invitation to compete in Washington is not conditional on a reciprocal invitation for Washington agencies to compete in Baltimore, but I would welcome the opportunity,” Hindin said. “Ultimately, competition will result in the creation of more powerful, effective work from agencies throughout the region.”
The ball is now bouncing in Baltimore’s court. Stay tuned. –Nora FitzGerald
