DALLAS Burt’s Bees, a personal-care products company that emphasizes its natural ingredients, has hired Interpublic Group’s The Martin Agency after a review, the client said.

Based in Durham, N.C., Burt’s Bees launched in 1989 selling candles and lip balm. The company has since branched out into products such as skin creams and lotions.

“The company is now looking to get into categories we haven’t been in before,” said company representative Allison Harmon Lane. “We’re launching a chemical-free sunscreen next week.”
