WASHINGTON — Leo Burnett has tapped Muse Cordero Chen & Partners, Los Angeles, to handle the African American portion of the U.S. Army’s $95-million account, the Chicago agency said Tuesday.
The decision followed a four-month search, which began when Burnett fired Images USA, the Atlanta-based shop that previously worked on the account. Burnett and Images disagreed about the fees Burnett paid its subcontractors on the Army account, and had worked without a signed contract since Burnett won the Army business in July 2000.
