While the world looks in wonder at the Carlisle, Iowa, couple and their septuplets, the creative department at Bozell Worldwide in Southfield, Mich., is celebrating the arrival of a lucky seven of its own.
The agency captured the coveted Best of Show award at the 23rd annual Detroit Caddy competition for the seventh consecutive year–the only shop to achieve such a goal.
The winner this year was “Frisbee,” a 30-second spot for Chrysler Corp.’s Jeep that shows three people sailing discs back and forth across a valley. When one of them drops the Frisbee into the canyon, all three eagerly scramble to their Jeeps, shouting, “I’ve got it!”
Bozell shot the spot in the Canadian Yukon, where the midnight sun never sets, allowing for all-day filming. The crew didn’t chase lost Frisbees, and a total of 400 were used on the weeklong shoot. But there weren’t many misses: Two of the three players are ally professional freestyle Frisbee throwers.
In addition to the top prize, the office and its chief creative officer, Gary Topolewski, won more awards than any other agency.
