ATLANTA Boone/Oakley has resigned the advertising account of the National Basketball Association’s Charlotte Bobcats, the shop said Friday.

The independent Charlotte shop declined to comment on the decision beyond a written statement citing “business reasons.” A representative for the team could not be reached for comment Friday.

B/O is the second shop to resign the business in the past seven months. Wray Ward Laseter, also an indie Charlotte agency, resigned the account last November, citing an inability to agree on the terms of the contract.
