NEW YORK David Terry, the group planning director at Bartle Bogle Hegarty here, has decided to stay put after accepting an offer to become director of planning from TBWA\Chiat\Day in New York.

After a week of back and forths with TBWA and executives at the Publicis Groupe-backed shop, he has accepted a counteroffer by BBH, the agency confirmed on Friday.

Sources said Terry last week signed a letter of agreement to become planning chief at TBWA\C\D here, an offer extended by TBWA New York Group president Brett Gosper, who issued a press release on Monday confirming the hire.
