BBDO Installs Palma as Rainmaker

ATLANTA BBDO has tapped Michael Palma as senior vice president and director of business development, the shop said.

Palma will report directly to Chris Hall, president and chief executive officer, and will serve on the Atlanta agency’s board of directors. He also will lead BBDO’s new business efforts.

Palma has more than 15 years of advertising experience, including founding Atlanta-based Creative Search, an ad personnel recruitment firm. As the head of Creative Search, Palma placed more than 300 ad professionals in agencies across the Southeast.

His resume also lists a stop at Cole Henderson Drake in Atlanta. As director of new business development, Palma said he assisted in winning accounts such as Rooms To Go, and Mauna Lani Bay Resort. Most recently, Palma was director of new business development at BaylessCronin, also in Atlanta.

Hall said that business development is now tougher than ever and Palma brings a wealth of experience to BBDO’s team.

“We’ve put an assertive plan into place, we have an attractive story to tell,” Hall said. “In Michael Palma, we have someone who can really help grow our business.”
