BOSTON Allied Domecq’s Baskin-Robbins has hired Connelly Partners here for in-store marketing and collateral projects, the independent agency said.

The selection was made following a review that included undisclosed small and midsize regional agencies with some retail or food experience [Adweek Online, Feb. 24].

Agency president Steve Connelly called Baskin a “very exciting opportunity for us, involving in-store design and point-of-purchase concepts that will initially launch in Las Vegas. [It’s a ] great national brand. And let’s face it, who doesn’t love ice cream?” Traditional ads are not in the mix.
