Baldwin & Stone has developed a series of ads launching Lightolier’s Evolution, a new line of high-end recessed light fixtures for upscale homes and offices.
The campaign plays off the concept of evolution. The first in a series of ads is a three-page spread depicting Marilyn Monroe’s evolution from unknown Norma Jean Baker to a pop-culture phenomenon. Opening with the line, “Evolution of an icon,” the execution culminates with an illuminated framed picture of the actress and the line, “Evolution on an icon.”
The next in the series, slated to run through the summer, focuses on the “Evolution of a century” and shows a montage of people and happenings from the past 100 years.
