Automation Firm Engages PJA

BOSTON Trading on its prowess in the business technology arena, PJA has been hired to create a campaign for TAC, a provider of building automation solutions.

Headquartered in Malmo, Sweden, TAC’s domestic operations are based in North Andover, Mass.

The budget is likely in the $1-2 million range. Print executions are upcoming in vertical trade media in the fall; a Web site redesign is also on tap, according to agency partner Mike O’Toole.

Independent PJA said it was chosen following a review; other contenders were not disclosed.

TAC’s parent company, Schneider Electric, is a world leader in automation and electricity management, with 85,000 employees worldwide and operations in 130 countries.

The win is the second in a month for PJA, following the addition of biopharmaceutical concern Gene Logic to its roster two weeks ago for advertising chores.

Cambridge, Mass.-based PJA claims about $45 million in overall billings and works mainly for technology, healthcare and life sciences clients such as Akamai, Boston Scientific, MRO Software, Novell and IBM’s healthcare division. The shop also maintains an office in San Francisco.

PJA handles a mix of online and offline chores. Its most recent notable effort was this month’s multimedia push for Novell, a continuation of a broad global campaign it introduced late last year for the client.
