Arthur Sadoun, president, CEO of Publicis France, has been named managing director of Publicis.

In addition to running Publicis’s largest market, Sadoun adds responsibility for operations in Western European countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and Holland. Sadoun, 39, also will lead worldwide strategic planning and creativity.

Sadoun was named to his current role at Publicis France in January, 2009. He joined the Publicis Groupe flagship in late 2006 as CEO of Publicis Conseil, where his new business development efforts brought in clients like BNP Paribas, Capgemini, Intermarché, Axa Monde, Yoplait, Luxottica and Orange.

Previously he worked at TBWA, Paris where he was named CEO in 2003.
