Arnold Realigns Direct, PR Operations

BOSTON — Arnold is consolidating its direct and public relations divisions within its fledgling global network, according to the company.

Arnold’s Boston-based direct marketing unit will become a subsidiary of large direct marketing agency Brann Worldwide, Wilton, Conn. Arnold’s public relations operations — with offices in Boston, Baltimore, Washington and London — will become a subsidiary of Magnet Communications, New York. Magnet was also brought under the Arnold aegis as part of Havas’ reorganization in 2000. Both Brann and Magnet joined the Arnold fold in 2000 as part of a major restructuring by parent Havas, the Paris-based holding company. No layoffs will result from the realignment of the direct and PR functions, an Arnold representative said.
