LOS ANGELES Geoffrey Ammer has been promoted to president of worldwide marketing for Columbia TriStar Motion Picture Group, the company said. This is a new position for the Sony Pictures Entertainment Co.
Ammer, 52, joined the Culver City, Calif., studio in September 2001 as domestic marketing president for the Columbia TriStar Marketing Group. Since then, he has led the marketing team that launched films such as Spider-Man, XXX, Men in Black II, Maid in Manhattan, Mr.
