Race riots brought national attention to Cincinnati last April. Northlich addresses racism with a campaign this month tagged, “Cincinnati CAN. You can too,” that has TV and print ads running on local stations and in local newspapers, said Mark Serrianne, president of the Cincinnati agency.

The public service announcements are sponsored by Cincinnati Community Action Now (CAN), a nonprofit organization formed last year to address the riots that followed the shooting of an unarmed African American man by police.

The PSA urges people to work together and take individual responsibility for correcting the racial tensions that led to the riots.
