Agency.Com Creates Site for Software Firm

Redwood City, Calif.-based Openwave, a 2,200-employee company that provides software for wireless and wireline carriers, ISPs and portals, has launched a Web site created by i-shop’s San Francisco branch.

The site, which features a subtle purple color theme, includes a wireless application showcase with screen-by-screen examples of apps such as Ettache, which makes it possible for users to pay bills and access their various accounts through a single password.

Though about 40 of the approximately 50 employees at New York-based’s San Francisco office were let go earlier this year, the workers who created the Openwave site stayed through the beginning of last week to finish the job.
